In the new video for the track, which Complex exclusively premiered Friday, Jessie Reyez heads out for a leisurely stroll and skateboarding session while bringing the song's introspective lyrics to life.
In a statement, Reyez shared her appreciation for both Calvin and the video's director, Philip Harris. "I love Calvin Harris and Philip Harris," she said. "They are not brothers...but I love them both the same, music producer and video director. ❤️" Previously, Philip Harris directed Reyez' video for "Blue Ribbon.
Reyez, named one of 13 rising artists from Toronto you should know by Pigeons & Planes earlier this year, recently broke down the inspiration behind her debut EP Kiddo. "So the balloon on [the Kiddo cover], my whole life I've been a child, I don't think that's gonna change," Reyez said. "If I make it to 40, I'll probably still be a kid walking around. It's a nod to childhood. The fact that it's a helium-filled balloon is because I'm rising above a lot of the bullshit that I went through."
